The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Sets A New Record

The legendary performance of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 continues with the all-new 2020 model and raised the bar for powerful performance with a new recorded setting ability.

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is the most powerful production-Ford with a new supercharged 5.2L V8 engines with first-ever dual-clutch transmission to generate 760 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque. The new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 also features the largest brakes ever, 16.5-inch front brake discs squeezed by Brembo calipers. The 0-100-0 mph test that Carroll Shelby coined and once used to promote the combined acceleration and braking performance of his sports cars set the bar for other muscle cars. The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has broken this record with a time of 10.6 seconds. The Camaro ZL1 and Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye fall short and both have times over 11 seconds for the same performance test.
