Your brakes are your vehicle's most important safety feature. Although they may be stopping your vehicle, they may not be working their best. Brakes are designed to slowly wear as you use them, making it difficult for you to notice when they need to be replaced. That's why regular maintenance of your braking system is so important!

Our expert factory-trained technicians at the Dorian Quick Lane are ready to check your brakes and provide you with quality service as you wait.

How do brakes work?

Braking is all about friction. When you push the brake petal pads inside the calipers press  against rotors to slow down the vehicle.

How do I know if they're OK?

Fact is: overtime all brakes wear out. When this happens you may feel grinding, a squishy pedal, or steering wheel shudder. You may hear loud squealing sounds, smell a strange odor, or see the brake warning light on your dash.

What if I don't see any signs?

You may not notice any signs, that's why routine inspections are key to safe braking, and they can save you money on costly repairs. Don't let your brakes get to the point of metal on metal.

What is a brake inspection?

During inspection each brake is checked for pad wear, rough spots on rotors, and signs  of damage. In some cases rotors can be resurfaced to save money.

How often do I need them?

Service intervals depend on your driving habits, operating conditions, and vehicle type.  Remember original genuine parts fit and perform best, and  check your brakes every 10,000 miles, or once a year... whichever comes first.
