2020 Ford Fusion

With four trim levels to choose from, and all offering a hybrid version, there is a model for every lifestyle. The base model S comes nicely equipped. The SE offers access to additional option packages to enhance your ride. The SEL is designed for enhanced performance. The Titanium model is outfitted with a host of luxury appointments to rival any vehicle in its class.

The S model comes standard with Ford's 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder Duratec engine and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There are two EcoBoost engines available, the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter. Both are turbocharged with direct injection, and Twin-Independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT). These engines deliver up to 34 mpg. The hybrid engine is a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle with an 88-kW electric motor. Paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eVCT) this powertrain gets 188 horsepower, and up to 43 mpg. The plug-in hybrid engine has three selectable drive modes. You can choose electric, gas, or a combination of both. In EV-Now mode the Fusion uses plug-in power that gets a driving range of up to 26 miles. Its overall driving range using a combination of gas and electric is an outstanding 610 miles. The plug-in version has two charging options. A 110-volt system will recharge in as little as 7 hours. Opt for the 240-volt system, and cut that time to as little as 2.5 hours.

The Fusion offers an intelligent all-wheel-drive system that delivers exceptional performance. The system monitors things like wheel spin, g-force, and more to determine which wheel most needs the power. The Auto Start-Stop technology provides additional fuel savings. This system will shut off the engine while idling. It will turn in back on automatically when the gas pedal is pressed.

The Fusion has available heated and cooled driver and front passenger seats, and an available heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel. The available moon roof lets the sun and air in to give you and your passengers an awesome ride. In addition to a roomy cabin, the cargo area is also spacious. 16 cubic feet of trunk space means you never have to leave anything behind. Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to access your smartphone through the touch-screen display. Send and receive calls and texts, access your music playlist, navigation, and more.

Ford's Co-Pilot 360 is a suite of advanced driver-assist systems designed to keep you safer while driving. A Lane-Keeping system monitors your vehicle within marked lanes and alerts you when you drift. Ford's BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) will have eyes where you can't see, sending you alerts when a vehicle enters one of your blind spots. The Rear Cross-Traffic system does the same while in reverse. The suite also includes a Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking system. When the system detects a collision is imminent, it will apply additional brake pressure.
