The second is the everyday commuter who wants pickup utility on a footprint that still fits a standard garage. The third is the off-road shopper who takes the available FX4® Off-Road Package or steps up to the Raptor® badge to tackle real terrain.

What sets the 2026 Ford Ranger® Raptor® apart?
The Ranger® Raptor® is a different kind of truck wearing the same nameplate. Its 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 makes 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, recommends 91-octane fuel, and pairs with the same electronic 10-speed automatic the rest of the lineup runs. The 4x4 system is the only configuration offered. A 20-gallon fuel tank replaces the 18-gallon tank used on the other trims.
Underneath, the Raptor® sits on its own chassis. Forged aluminum A-arms replace the standard short- and long-arm independent front suspension. A Watts-link rear suspension with trailing arms replaces the leaf-spring live axle. Both ends carry FOX 2.5-inch Internal Bypass shocks with Live Valve Technology, with piggyback reservoirs at the rear. Coil springs sit at the rear in place of the leaf packs. Electronic-locking front and rear axles come standard.
The off-road geometry steps up across the board. A 33-degree approach angle, 26.4-degree departure, and 24.2-degree breakover combine with 10.7 inches of ground clearance and a 67.3-inch front and rear track width that's nearly four inches wider than the standard Ranger®. Seven selectable drive modes include Baja, with Trail Control™ and MyMode™ both standard.
The cabin reflects the price step. Power, heated leather-trimmed front seats with driver memory, a rear outboard leather-trimmed bench, six upfitter switches in the overhead console, and a Remote Start System all come standard. Pro Power Onboard™ comes standard as well; the Technology section below covers how it scales across the rest of the lineup. The trade-offs are real: maximum towing drops to 5,510 pounds and maximum payload to 1,373 pounds. Fuel economy lands at 16 city, 18 highway, and 17 combined. The Ranger® Raptor® was named among 10Best in 2026.
How much can the 2026 Ford Ranger® tow and haul?
