Ford Expedition in Clinton TownshipThe 2020 Ford expedition leads the full-size SUV class with its spacious interior and superb towing capacity. It’s available in XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum trim levels, all with the option of four-wheel drive. You can also choose from the standard wheelbase or the Expedition MAX, which is 9 inches longer. Here are three of its highlights.

  1. Head-Turning Appearance

A bold grille design, sleek sculpted profile, and stylish rear end give every 2020 Expedition trim level an imposing presence on the road. The XLT offers a chrome grille, configurable daytime running lights, quad-beam headlights, fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, running boards, mirrors with approach lamps, and a class four trailer hitch receiver.

The Limited trim takes the exterior aesthetics to the next level with its 20-inch wheels, power-deployable running boards, power-folding mirrors with memory and turn signals, a hands-free liftgate, and LED taillights. The King Ranch features LED headlights and fog lights, 22-inch wheels, and a panoramic moonroof. At the same time, the Platinum trim sports a satin aluminum grille and mirrors.

  1. Awesome Capability

A formidable and responsive 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine powers the SUV, delivering 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels or the available four-wheel-drive system. This V-6 is paired with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission to make your ride as seamless as possible. The same engine generates 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet in the Platinum, highlighting the top-rated status of this trim.

The Expedition has a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 9,300 pounds with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, allowing you to haul the gear you need for your adventures. The available Pro Trailer Backup Assist makes maneuvering your trailer a breeze. Also, Expedition models with Intelligent four-wheel drive feature a Terrain Management System with seven drive modes to help you navigate any surface when the going gets tough.

  1. Upscale and Versatile Interior

You’ll find seating for up to eight people inside the beautifully crafted cabin of the Expedition. And with multiple ways to configure the seats, you can maximize your passenger and cargo capacity. Behind the third row, you have 19.3 cubic feet of storage, or 34.3 in the MAX. What’s more, you get a whopping 104.6 or 121.5 cubic feet when you fold down the second and third rows.

The XLT comes with push-button start, cloth upholstery, a rotary gear shift dial, and the SYNC 3 infotainment system. This system features an 8-inch touch screen, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, voice recognition, four USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio.
