Born from Real-Life Experience
Simoncini, who began her breast cancer journey in 2022, wanted to make sure other patients didn’t have to endure the same discomfort she faced. “Cancer is just the worst thing that can happen to you,” she said, explaining how her double mastectomy and chemotherapy made even simple tasks, like wearing a seat belt, unbearable.
During her treatment, Simoncini often had to use stuffed animals and pillows to soften the seat belt's pressure on her chest, sparking the idea for this innovative product. Ford embraced her vision, collaborating with doctors, designers, breast cancer survivors, and engineers to bring the SupportBelt™ to life.

Every year, over 100,000 women undergo mastectomies, with many finding seat belts uncomfortable post-surgery. The SupportBelt™ was created to provide a comfortable and secure solution, ensuring patients remain safe while healing.
