4 Reasons Why You Should Consider The 2019 Ford Escape As Your Next Vehicle Purchase

If you're looking for a compact SUV, there is no need to look any further than the Ford Escape. Here are 4 reasons the 2019 Escape should be your next vehicle. Trim Levels The Ford Escape comes in 5 trim levels. The base model S comes nicely equipped, but the SE trim gives you access to more option packages. The SEL is designed with comfort and performance in mind. The Titanium trim has all the options to rival other luxury vehicles on the market. Ford also makes the SE Sport Hybrid, a perfect blending of performance and economy. more Power The Ford Escape comes with four available engines so there's power, and then some, for every lifestyle. The base model comes with Ford's 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop technology. This fuel saving technology turns the engine off when idling, and automatically turns it on again when the accelerator is pressed. This inline 3-cylinder Ti-VCT engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission for power and performance. Upgrade to the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, also with Start-Stop technology and get even more power. When paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and equipped with the Class II Trailer Tow package, the Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Fuel Savings Systems The hybrid engine is a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine using Atkinson cycle, an 88 kW electric motor, and an electronically controlled variable transmission for superior power and economy. The liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery is smaller than ever, and stored beneath the vehicle, rather than inside the cabin. The plug-in hybrid engine is the same 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle inline 4-cylinder engine. It offers two plug-in options. The 110-volt Level 1 charger can recharge the lithium-ion battery in as little as 10 hours. The 220-volt Level 2 charger can do the same in only 3.5 hours. The all-wheel-drive models all feature Ford's fuel saving All-Wheel-Drive Disconnect system. The system monitors road conditions and disconnects the rear drive train when it determines there is no need for all-wheel-drive. Ford Co-Pilot 360 This is a suite of driver assist features Ford offers on the Escape. An Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go system uses advanced radar and camera technology to keep your vehicle at a a safe distance while in traffic. The system will even bring the Escape to a complete stop. When the traffic ahead clears the system will return the vehicle to its preset speed. A Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking system detects when a collision is imminent, and applies emergency brake pressure. The BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert system monitors and alerts the driver when a vehicle enters its blind spot. The Cross-Traffic Alert system is particularly useful in crowded parking lots. It will alert you when an object or vehicle crosses behind your vehicle. The available Active Park Assist system makes parallel parking a breeze. There are a lot of features to love on the Ford Escape.
