Ford's Famous Sports Car in Fine Form

The Ford Mustang is a fierce-looking vehicle by anyone's standard. Complete with an intimidating front grill, sleek interior, and all the power you could hope for, this iconic sports car does not disappoint on any level. Keep reading to find out why you need to take one of these world-class driving machines on a test drive today! more Ford's Famous Sports Car in Fine Form for 2021 Not only is the 2021 Mustang an eye-catching ride, it delivers a level of performance not seen in many sports cars at this price point. With highly responsive steering, smooth handling, and flawless shock absorption, this is a vehicle that is an absolute pleasure to drive. Engine options include a turbocharged four-cylinder or a 460-hp V-8 – either engine can be paired to either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. If you want to up the sportiness factor even further, there is an optional Performance package that adds some really nice features such as electrically assisted steering. How Much Does a Ford Mustang Cost? There is a wide price range on the Mustang which means you can have an exceptional sports car at an amazing price ($28,400), or you can get a tricked-out Mach 1 that will give you bragging rights everywhere you go ($54,595). We think a good compromise is the mid-level GT, which for $37,480 will get you a 5.0-liter V8 engine and some premium upgrades such as rear parking sensors, power-adjustable seats, and an enhanced braking system. New Features The Mustang's revamped Mach 1 model (a classic which has been out of commission for many years!) is back for this model year. This deluxe version of the Mustang comes standard with many of the premium features that are optional on lesser trims, and also adds adaptive shock absorbers and some bonus horsepower to make it extra sporty. What About the Interior? The Mustang's interior manages to be classic and modern at the same time. Luxury touches such as heated and cooled front seats and dual-zone climate control can be purchased as options, but you will find that even the lower trims offer a comfortable and ergonomic ride, especially in the front row. If you pop the trunk, you will notice there is an impressive amount of cargo space for a car in this class. The back seat folds down allowing you to stow up to 12 carry-on bags. We also love the huge center console bin which can store loads of odds and ends. Favorite Tech Features While it might require an upgrade to a higher trim level, the Mustang does score major points for the availability of premium connectivity and safety technology. Ford's highly rated Sync interface offers sensitive voice controls, an 8-inch touchscreen, and integration with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Some models also come with a very cool-looking digital instrument panel (as an option). The Mustang's driver-assist technology is also highly rated. While most brands offer features such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and so on, they are not all created equal. Ford's safety suite is known for being appropriately responsive with a low incidence of false alarms. Once you take a Mustang on a test drive, there's no turning back! Visit us today at Dorian Ford so we can get you behind the wheel of one of these iconic sports machines. Image via Ford.com

Ford F-350

4 Impressive Features of the Ford F-350

A popular pick among people who need some real muscle to take on the toughest jobs, the 2021 Ford F-350 is here to stay. This truck is incredibly powerful on the roads, and it has lots of other features that round out its excellence overall. Let's take a look at some of the most impressive ones now. more 1. It's Ready for All Terrains You can optimize your Ford F-350 for a myriad of terrains. It comes with five drive modes, which are normal, eco, slippery, deep sand and snow, and towing and hauling. The Tremor Off-Road Package also provides rock crawl mode for those of you who frequently beaten up paths. This is perfect if you live or work along the rough roads of the backcountry, and it's great if you go off-roading for fun, too. 2. It's One of the Best Towing Machines Around The Ford F-350 can tow 37,000 pounds without breaking a sweat. This is 1,000 more than one of the F-350's closest competitors can tow, and we haven't seen a stronger truck in this class yet. The Ford F-350 is sure to handle all of your heavy-duty hauling needs, and you can have confidence in its ability to thrive under this immense pressure. The Pro Trailer Backup Assist program helps make your towing a little safer. It implements a feature where you only have to turn a knob to let your truck know how it should move your trailer while you're driving in reverse. 3. It Has an Optional Electric Winch If needed, you can set your Ford F-350 up with an electric winch integrated into it. This uses a 70-foot long strength synthetic high-tensile line. iI's powerful, providing your truck up with a winching power of 12,000 pounds, and it's abrasion-resistant. The integrated winch is in a highly convenient position, as it's mounted behind the front bumper. You can operate this tool using a wireless remote control, so it's truly built for convenience. 4. It's Easy to Stow Gear Safely Any driver knows that your vehicle is often littered with gear that you just can't live without. However, it's easy to feel incredibly unsafe while keeping valuables in your truck, as they're often on full display, and there's no way to lock them away. The Ford F-350 takes care of this issue for you; it ensures all of your valuables remain not only hidden but inaccessible. There's a lockable under-seat box integrated into the cabin floor. Potential thieves can neither steal it nor open it. This box is invisible to anyone who doesn't already know that it exists. There are also some lockable storage compartments in the truck bed for your larger valuable items. The lockable storage compartments in the truck bed are part of the BoxLink system, and you won't find anything like this on many other trucks. Stop by Mike Dorian Ford to see the Ford F-350 in person. Our vehicles are ready and waiting to be test-driven.

Ford Electric Lightning

What We Know About the 2022 F-150 Lightning

Have you been excited for Ford to release information about the 2022 F-150 Lightning electric pickup? In late May 2021, Ford finally revealed the F-150 Lightning to the world. This truck is more futuristic and impressive than we ever thought it would be. Here are some highlights of what Ford has told us about the electric Lightning. more Electrifying Strength The 2022 F-150 Lightning has a power output of 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of instant torque. Putting that into perspective may be difficult, as it's the most power any factory-made F-150 has ever offered. This electric workhorse is slated to hit the 0-60 mph mark in the mid-4-second range. For those who need their F-150 to work, the Lightning has a target of 10,000 pounds in maximum towing capacity and 2,000 pounds of maximum payload. The strongest of the gasoline-powered 2021 F-150 models can tow up to 14,000 pounds and handle up to a 3,325-pound payload. The weakest of the 2021 F-150 models can tow up to 5,000 pounds. The Lightning will be equipped with two electric motors that give it standard four-wheel-drive performance. The truck also features metal skid plates to protect its undercarriage while you're exploring the off-roads. Charging Your Batteries The F-150 Lightning will be equipped with a standard battery that offers a 230-mile range, but you can upgrade to an extended-range battery to get a 300-mile range. When you need to charge your truck, you can do so at home or one of the public charging stations in the largest charging station network in North America. With these options, you will likely not have to worry about finding a place to fuel your truck up. The Ford Intelligent Backup Power system can act as a mobile generator that can power a home for up to three days on a full charge, or 10 days if you ration your power. The Pro Power Onboard puts 11 outlets in your truck's cabin and bed to allow you to plug in power tools, camping equipment, and whatever else you need when you're on the go. What the Frunk? Another interesting aspect of the F-150 Lightning is what Ford did with the engine's former space. That space is now empty and called a "Mega Power Frunk." It's a trunk in the front. This space offers 14.1 cubic feet of cargo space and can hold up to 400 pounds. Customizability Though you can't design your own 2022 F-150 Lightning just yet, you have a lot to think about until then. Like its gasoline-powered predecessor, the Lightning will be offered in trim levels. As of the time of this writing, Ford has announced an XLT, Lariat, and Platinum trim level. The higher you move through these, the more luxurious your all-electric truck grows. We can't wait to get behind the wheel of the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Contact our team to schedule your test drive of this leveled-up pickup to see what the future of trucks will be like.

Car Buying Tips

Used Car Buying Tips

Purchasing a car can be a thrilling experience! While you may get caught up in the excitement of the purchase, it’s important to consider these tips when buying a used car. more Budget Creating a budget can be one of the most important parts of buying a used car. Getting preapproved for a used car loan is a great place to start. If you have a preferred bank to use, Dorian Ford can work with them or get you started on the process of applying for a loan. Walking into a dealership with a planned budget will help to narrow down your choices: it also lets the dealer know you’re serious about buying a car. Certified Pre-Owned Choosing a certified pre-owned or loaner vehicle is an easy way to know that you’re bringing home a quality ride with no hidden service issues. Here at Dorian Ford, we thoroughly inspect each certified vehicle and submit them to either a 139-point or 172-point inspection – allowing you to feel confident that your new car will last for miles. With that comes limited warranties, 24/7 roadside assistance, and reward points for your first maintenance visits. Vehicle Title Ask to see the vehicle title. Most vehicles are required to have a vehicle title. You cannot register a vehicle without a title and in many places selling a vehicle without a title is illegal. No title, no sale. You should also consider checking for a Carfax, Autocheck, or similar on-line vehicle register using the vehicles VIN number. These reports provide a detailed history of a vehicle and can alert buyers to potential problems, such as branded titles, odometer issues, and prior crashes. Mechanic Ask if you can have your personal or dealership mechanic take a look at the vehicle. Some car issues can go unnoticed to the untrained eye, so we recommend having a properly trained auto technician look over the vehicle prior to making your purchase. This will ensure the vehicle is safe and working properly, which can save you time and money down the road. Test Drive Before you make the final decision on a used car, take your top choices out for a test drive. This way you can decide which vehicle meets your performance and comfortability expectations, so you won't be stuck in an uncomfortable ride. The most important thing to keep in mind is to go with what feels right for you. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a test drive of one of our used cars, don't hesitate to contact us! It would be our pleasure to help you find a new ride that brings a smile to your face every time you climb inside!

Ford Copilot

Ford Safety and Technology

The upcoming 2021 Ford lineup holds an improved suite of new advanced safety and driver assistance features called the Ford Co-Pilot360. What kind of safety and driver assistance features are included with the Ford Co-Pilot360 system you might ask. Well, the new driver safety and technology assistance features include Active Drive Assist, Intersection Assist, Pre-Collision Assist complete with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, a rearview camera complete with a dynamic hitch assist system, automatic high-beam headlights, and automatic on/off headlights. more Pre-Collision Assist With all the active safety features you'd expect in a modern vehicle, Ford brings it to you at a reasonable price. With Pre-Collision Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), if the car is rapidly approaching another vehicle or pedestrian ahead and the sensors indicate a possible collision, the system will issue a warning before engaging the brakes automatically if the driver doesn't react quick enough. Evasive Steering Assist can help drivers avoid potential collisions if there isn't enough room to brake. Blind Spot Monitoring Information System Next is the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) (Blind Spot Monitoring) with cross-traffic alert. When detected, a small icon on your side mirror will light up when there is a vehicle in your blind spot. The cross-traffic alert will issue a warning when your vehicle is in reverse and another car is approaching from the side. Lane-Keeping System Automatic high beams are almost an industry standard and with Ford, perform even better than imagined. While driving at night or in low light conditions, the system will trigger between high- and low-beam headlights to ensure the greatest visibility without blinding oncoming traffic. The Lane-Keeping System (Lane Departure Assist) issues an alert when your vehicle leaves the current lane without an indicator signal and can automatically apply steering to reposition the vehicle into the lane. Lane Centering Lane-keeping and Lane-Centering are both parts of Ford's Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control system, along with Speed Sign Recognition. Lane Centering controls the vehicle's steering to keep it centered in the lane. You can choose if you want to use the more advanced tech or just lane departure prevention for a more natural steering feel. Schedule a test drive of the new 2021 Ford vehicles and test out the great Ford safety features today.
