The 2020 Ford Fusion is a midsize sedan that offers four powertrain options, a comfortable and roomy interior, and plenty of modern technology and safety options. You can choose from four trims with the Fusion, namely the S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. In addition, there is also a hybrid and a plug-in model available on selected trims. Here’s some more information on this modern sedan.

  1. Sophisticated Design

The 2020 Ford Fusion boasts a sophisticated design that features distinctive grilles, an available rear decklid spoiler, and a range of attractive wheel options. You can also choose from trendy new exterior paint options, including Rapid Red Metallic, Iconic Silver, and Alto Blue Metallic. The base trim is reasonably well equipped with automatic high beams, configurable daytime running lamps, LED taillights, and power-adjustable mirrors. Higher trims add several luxuries, such as a power moonroof, LED headlights, LED fog lamps, and heated mirrors with turn-signal indicators and memory.

  1. Comfortable Cabin

The Fusion offers a comfortable and spacious cabin that provides seating for up to five passengers. Behind the rear seats is a 16-cubic-feet cabin, which is large for this class, and you can fold the rear seats down when you need to haul larger cargo. Standard interior features include cloth upholstery, air conditioning, push-button start, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Opt for a higher trim for added premium features like power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, active noise control, and ambient lighting.

  1. Four Powertrain Options

You can choose from four capable powertrains with the Fusion. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission to deliver a respectable output of 173 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, you’ll get an estimated fuel-economy rating of 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. For an estimated fuel efficiency of 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, opt for the available 1.5-liter. The engine has an output of 181 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque.

For a more spirited performance, go for the available 2.0-liter engine that kicks out 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. With the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, you’ll get a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine that’s paired with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission to deliver 188 combined horsepower. You’ll receive excellent efficiency from this powertrain, rated at  43 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.

  1. Modern Technology and Safety Features

The Ford Fusion will keep you both entertained and safe on the road. Although the standard Sync system offers basic features like Bluetooth, four speakers, a 4.2-inch display, and a USB port, you can upgrade with an array of convenient features like an 8-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, satellite radio, HD Radio, a 12-speaker premium sound system, and navigation.

All Fusion trims come equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which offers impressive standard driver-assist systems like blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, a rearview camera, rain-sensing wipers, and hill start assist.
