Ford RaptorAdventure lovers need to look no further than the 2020 Ford Raptor for their next thrill-seeking companion. This pickup has what you need to push the limits and conquer tough terrain. Be ready to explore, climb, and own the off-road world in this highly capable truck. Here’s what you need to know about the new F-150 Raptor.

Options

You’ll have the choice between the SuperCrew or the SuperCab both paired with a 5.5-foot box for your 2020 Raptor. Both provide comfortable space for rear passengers, but the SuperCrew offers additional rear legroom. The SuperCrew also provides 10 additional gallons of fuel capacity.

No matter which cab configuration you choose, you’ll enjoy some exterior perks with your new Raptor. A performance hood with air extractors and 17-inch aluminum wheels with a high-gloss pocket design give the Raptor an edgy and powerful look. The unique front grille with Ford in block letters makes sure onlookers know what they’re admiring.

Power

Every Raptor comes standard with a High-Output 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine equipped with Ford’s port-fuel and direct-injection system. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine provides up to 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This transmission offers a tow/haul mode for precise power to give you the best handling while pulling a load.

Capability

When you choose the SuperCab design, your Raptor will have 6,000 pounds of towing capacity. The SuperCrew offers an 8,000-pound capacity when properly equipped. That’s enough for a camping trailer, small horse trailer, or adventure toys like jet skis and small boats. Every F-150 model is built with military-grade, high-strength aluminum alloy for a stronger body that’s resistant to dents.

Go where typical four-wheelers can’t in the 2020 Raptor. Its four-wheel-drive drivetrain along with an independent front suspension, a 4.10 front axle with a TORSEN differential, and a transfer case with the Torque-On-Demand system prepare the Raptor to take on almost any terrain you can get to. Ford’s AdvanceTrac system with Roll Stability Control provides extra peace-of-mind as you take seek adventure.

The ESOF (electronic shift-on-the-fly) system allows drivers to easily switch between drive modes with the turn of a dial. The Raptor offers 4WD, 4×4 high, 4×4 low, and two-wheel-drive modes. Opt for bead-lock capable wheels that allow you to let air out of the tires for even better traction when you want it. Every Raptor is also equipped with high-output, on/off-road gas-pressurized, position-sensitive FOX Racing monotube shocks.

Off-Road Tech

Thanks to the Raptor’s Terrain Management System, drivers have technology on their side, even while out on the trails. With seven different drive modes available, you can tailor this truck’s system for the road or dirt path ahead. Choose between Normal, Slippery, Sport, Tow/Haul, Deep Snow/Sand, Rock Crawl, and Baja modes. The Trail Control system is like adaptive cruise control for off-road driving. This system allows you to set a driving speed and let it take care of braking and acceleration so you can manage steering.
