With the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, you'll get a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine that's paired with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission to deliver 188 combined horsepower. You'll receive excellent efficiency from this powertrain, rated at  43 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. Modern Technology and Safety Features The Ford Fusion will keep you both entertained and safe on the road. You can choose from five trim levels with the new Escape, namely the S, SE, SE Sport, SEL, and Titanium. Here's a short overview of each trim to help you decide which one would be best suited to your needs. more The S The base S trim comes with a turbocharged 1.5 three-cylinder engine that works together with an eight-speed automatic transmission to make 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive optional. On the outside, the base trim is quite well equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, dual chrome exhaust tips, a manual liftgate, daytime running lamps, LED signature lighting, skid plates, and a body-colored rear spoiler. The cabin of the Ford Escape is spacious and can comfortably accommodate up to five passengers. The SE Apart from a few exterior upgrades, such as 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated mirrors, and LED signature lighting, the SE trim offers the user-friendly Sync 3 infotainment system that's equipped with an 8-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM. The cabin also receives a power-adjustable driver's seat, automatic temperature control, and push-button start. SE Sport The SE Sport is available exclusively as a hybrid model and is powered by a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine that's paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and an electric motor to create 200 horsepower combined. Apart from the different powertrain, this trim basically offers the same features as the SE trim, except for an added leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SEL The SEL includes all standard equipment of the SE trim while adding quite a few convenient exterior features, such as mirrors with memory, a hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, halogen fog lamps, and roof-rack side rails. Interior upgrades include ActiveX upholstery, a heated steering wheel, remote start system, and a reverse sensing system. Titanium With the range-topping Titanium trim comes a robust 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that works together with an eight-speed automatic transmission to produce 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. As is the case with the other powertrains, front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive optional. This trim adds quite a few interior luxuries, including a Bang & Olufsen sound system, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable passenger's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, ambient lighting, and adaptive cruise control. Here are some of Detroit's most iconic eats so you can sample the city in a whole new way. Detroit-Style Deep Dish Pizza New York-style pizza can’t beat Detroit’s very own deep-dish, Sicilian-style square pizza. Cloverleaf Pizza’s founder created the original Detroit-style pizza in 1946.  They still serve this Detroit iconic food, which is baked in a steel pan that was an original container for car parts. Detroit deep-dish also uses only the finest brick cheese to top this square pizza, and when you try this signature classic, you’ll understand why nothing beats it. more Boston Cooler With Vernors Ginger Ale Don't let the name fool you. The Boston Cooler is Detroit's very own, and it's actually named after Boston Boulevard in downtown Detroit. This local favorite is made from Vernors, Detroit's very own ginger ale, and vanilla ice cream. Vernors goes back a long time and is one of America's oldest soft drinks. Detroit local James Vernor came up with this drink in 1866, and it's been a favorite ever since. Top it with ice cream, though, and you have something truly unique to Detroit. Double-Baked Rye Bread Rye bread is a staple of many kosher bakeries and delis around the country, but none of them have what Detroit has: double-baked rye. Jack Goldberg was the mastermind behind the double-baking technique in the 1950s when he owned Stage & Co., a deli that served meats, sandwiches, and other items. The double-baking process involved baking the rye loaves until they were almost fully baked. Then, Mr. Goldberg would let the loaves bake for another 20 minutes before serving the deli lunch rush. This made the rye hold up to the piles of corned beef Detroiters are known to stack on their sandwiches. Zip Sauce If you haven't topped your gyro, sandwiches, or steaks with Detroit's famous Zip sauce, you haven't really lived. Zip sauce became a thing back in the 1930s when Lelli's Inn, a local Italian steakhouse, started serving a mixture of au jus, butter, Worcestershire sauce, and a blend of spices. The original Lelli's Inn burned down some time ago. If you want to sample this Detroit original, head to Lelli's new location in Auburn Hills. You'll be thankful you did. Superman Ice Cream Nobody does a Superman ice cream quite like Detroit. Named after the superhero, this ice cream features swirls of red, blue, and yellow ice cream. It's rumored to have come to fruition at Stroh's Ice Cream Plant, where factory workers are credited with inventing this wild flavor using Blue Moon ice cream. You may find it all over now, but it won't be exactly like Detroit's own original. No matter what you're in the mood for, Detroit's own unique flavors offer something for everyone. Ford continues to hold fuel economy to a high standard, so you can travel anywhere knowing you'll save on gas. Here are four Ford models that have the best MPG ratings. Fiesta Even though Ford retired the Fiesta, it still boasts one of Ford's highest fuel mileages. The Fiesta packs a 1.6-liter inline-four-cylinder engine and an optional six-speed automatic transmission, giving you up to 37 miles per gallon when driving on the open highway. Drive locally through the city and you'll get up to 27 miles per gallon. The Fiesta doesn't just pack an efficient engine, though. It also comes equipped with Ford's signature interior, tech, and safety features, like comfortable seating, the Ford Sync 3 System, and advanced safety technology, including Ford's driver-assist systems. more Fusion Ford gives the Fusion three distinct engine configurations to choose from. On the Fusion's base trim, you'll get a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine, which can generate about 175 horsepower. This engine configuration can get up to 34 miles per gallon on the highway, making this vehicle another great option if you're looking for fuel efficiency. The other engine configurations the Fusion comes with include a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder for 181 horsepower and a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder, which is capable of 245 horsepower. These two engine upgrades don't offer the same fuel efficiency as the base engine, but you'll still get a decent rating right around 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Focus The Ford Focus is another retired model, however, it still offers one of Ford's most efficient gas mileage. Two engines came with this model: a 2.3-liter inline-four-cylinder engine and a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. Both pair with a six-speed manual transmission, but the automatic option means a little bit higher fuel efficiency. The 1.0-liter will give you up to 40 miles per gallon on the highway and at least 30 miles per gallon in the city, and you'll really start to notice the impressive fuel economy on the Focus when you see that you can drive 100 miles on just under three gallons of gas. Escape The Ford Escape comes with three different engine configurations: a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, a 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine, and a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine. The most efficient of the three configurations is the 2.5-liter inline-four cylinder, which boasts a fuel economy rating of 37 miles per gallon in the city, 44 miles per gallon on the highway, and a combined rating of 41 miles per gallon. The 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine gives you 33 miles per gallon on the highway, 27 in the city, and a combined rating of 30 miles per gallon. The 2.0-liter engine gets 31 miles per gallon on the highway, 23 in the city, and a combined rating of 26 miles per gallon. For efficiency and fewer costs in fuel, these four models have what it takes. Clinton Township is filled with nearly 300 years of history. From abandoned settlements to wartime battles, there are many more surprising facts to learn about the area. Here's a quick history of Clinton Township. The Moravian Settlement Was the First in the Area Before Clinton Township and Macomb County were a thing, the Moravian Settlement called the area home. The Moravians were from Saxony, Germany, and came to America in the early 1700s. Their missionaries built the Moravian Church and preached to the Native American inhabitants as well as their German brethren. When the British came upon the area that would grow into Clinton Township, they discovered remnants of this settlement. more Clinton Township Used to Be Larger One interesting fact about Clinton Township is its size. Today, Clinton Township encompasses a much smaller area than it did back in 1827. Back then, Clinton Township also included what would become Warren Township and Erin Township. The township may not have had as many residents living there as there are today, but the actual city limits were much wider. The British Employed Native Americans From the Area During the War of 1812 During the War of 1812 when the British attempted to retake control of America, Native Americans proved valuable allies in their revenge against the American soldiers. The British motivated the Native Americans to join their cause by offering them $5 for every enemy captured in battle. It's not known how successful this strategy was, although it makes for an interesting historic tale. Clinton Township Was Named After the Clinton River During the century of immigration and battles over the American territories, Clinton Township existed under several different names. At first, it was the site of the Moravian Settlement, eventually becoming Frederick. When Michigan became a state in 1837, legislators renamed the village Clinton Township after the Clinton River. This happened during the very first meeting of Michigan's state legislator. Japanese-Americans Relocated to Clinton Township During World War II During the second world war in 1943, Paul Weiss (a proprietor for Mount Clemens Rose Gardens) implored the United States government to give permission for Japanese-Americans to relocate to the area. These citizens were those who were held in the internment camps at the time, and when they relocated to Clinton Township, they became invaluable workers for the Rose Gardens. They even formed a baseball team and went on to win the league championship in 1947. Clinton Township Is the Largest Township in Michigan Although the largest township in Michigan by land area is McMillan Township (about 588 square miles), Clinton Township is the most populous of Michigan's townships. In July 2019, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated around 100,471 residents living in Clinton Township, making it the most populated township in Michigan. The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is Ford's first all-electric crossover and the first Mustang SUV. It's about the same size as the Ford Escape, but it looks like a larger version of the popular Mustang sports car. It's ideal for people who need an SUV and would rather drive a Mustang. This vehicle also allows you to help the environment by reducing pollution and lower your fuel costs. Four trim levels are available: Select, California RT. 1, Premium, and GT. Here are some more things you should know about the 2021 Mustang Mach-E. Excellent Performance With the Ford Mustang Mach-E, you'll get a standard-range 75.7-kilowatt-hour battery that lets you travel 230 miles with rear-wheel drive and 210 miles with all-wheel drive. You can also choose an extended-range 98.8-kilowatt-hour battery pack that can go 300 miles or 270 miles with all-wheel drive. Both types of batteries power an electric motor that's mounted on the rear axles. The base Select trim provides 255 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. With all-wheel drive, it gives 417 pound-feet of torque. The California RT. 1 will give 282 horsepower, and the Premium will offer 332 horsepower with the extended-range battery. The GT will generate 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque, and it should be able to travel from zero to 60 mph in only about 3.5 seconds. That's as fast as the gas-powered Mustang Shelby GT500, and the Mach-E GT will have a 250-mile range with all-wheel drive. The Mach-E comes with 18-inch wheels, or you can pick 19- or 20-inch wheels. You can also add a suspension with adaptive dampers that adjust the firmness of your ride. It has fast-charging capabilities, and Ford's charging network will have 12,000 stations in the United States. Ford's standard mobile charger can add 30 miles of range overnight with a 120-volt power outlet and 80 percent of the battery life with a 240-volt outlet. A Ford charging station is available online, and an electrician can install it. It can add 32 miles of range per hour and charge the battery completely overnight. more A Comfortable, Spacious Interior This vehicle can carry five people, and the compact electric battery leaves enough space for an extra trunk in the front. Lorenzo Cultural Center The Albert J. Lorenzo Cultural Center opened in 2006, and it has a variety of exhibits on history, modern culture, science, literature, and art. He lived in the house for many decades, and the Macomb County Historical Society transformed it into a museum and saved it from demolition in 1976. The staff at the house teaches people about how individuals lived in the late Victorian era. You can see lots of antique artifacts, as well as rotating exhibits, and you can take a guided tour from March through December on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's also open on the first Sunday of every month from 1 to 4 p.m. The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation This museum focuses on America's greatest minds. The upcoming 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV is the first all-electric car to feature the legendary pony emblem, and the first models are expected to arrive in showrooms in the fall of this year. The all-new vehicle has evolved from a 2015 concept to become a fully-fledged Mustang with the performance you'd expect from that stable. Here's what we know about the Mach-E so far. Model Choice Trim levels for the Mach-E are the Select and Premium models offered with two- or four-wheel drive, the California Route 1 with rear-wheel drive, and the all-wheel-drive only GT. A GT Performance Edition is expected by the summer of 2021. A uniquely-styled First Edition model was available, but it's no surprise that reservations were quickly filled. more Exterior Design The Mach-E is an SUV with sleek coupe styling, and there's no mistaking that it's a Mustang.
